Forestry is a complex subject in which ecology intersects with industry. Right now. the tilt is toward industry in the USA. Read Brown who, as an agronomist, has much to say. Ramapo College has planted hundreds of new trees, a winning and cost-effective measure. Threats to tropical rain forests are still critical, but progress is being made in conserving and yet allowing selective harvesting. ~WH

shall we ban logging??? or demanding that every corporation plant 5 trees for every 1 they cut down???

BY THE WAY
Is anyone familiar with the Montclair State University Campus?? Well if you are coming down the hill from Blanton HALL you can see that all of the trees have been cut down, no lie there were like 50 trees there in March...whats up with that?

I have hope, Austrailia started something small by banning incandescent light bulbs, but its a step worth taking. Keep up the good work!!!
